Talasi is an origin-based brand working across Indonesia to develop food, ingredients, and experiences directly from the source.
We operate at origin — building estates, working with farmers, and processing locally — to create products that are traceable, high-quality, and rooted in place. Our portfolio spans natural ingredients, food and beverage, and hospitality, all connected by the same approach: start from the land, and carry that integrity through to the final experience.
What sets us apart is how closely we work to the source. By being present on the ground, we're able to ensure quality, consistency, and transparency all while creating deeper value for the communities and ecosystems we are part of.
Talasi exists to bring origin closer to people. Not just as a concept, but as something you can taste, experience, and be part of.
How We Began
Talasi began in Sumba.
In 2017, our founder, Alisjahbana Haliman, arrived in Sumba and was struck by two things—the richness of its natural environment, and the challenges faced by the communities living within it.
What started as a question—how can we create more value from what already exists here?—became the foundation of Talasi.
From that moment, the goal became clear: to build at the origin, work closely with communities, and create something that could grow into lasting impact.
